These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Use of Services

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

Intellectual Property

The source code, interface and visual design, written content (including in-game text, encyclopedia entries, guides and blog posts), and gameplay and balance design of the Cosmos Era game and this website are owned by Cosmos Era and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Scientific facts themselves belong to no one, but our selection, arrangement, and wording of them are protected.

Without our written permission, you may not:

• Copy, mirror, republish, or distribute all or any part of the game or this website
• Decompile, reverse engineer, or modify the game code, or remove its copyright notices
• Embed the game in another website or app, or create derivative works based on it
• Use any of the above for commercial purposes

You are welcome to quote short passages or use screenshots for commentary, reviews, and teaching, as long as you credit the source and link to https://cosmos-era.com.

User Content

You retain all rights to any content you submit, post, or display on or through our services. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use our services in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of our services
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or networks
• Use our services to distribute malware or other harmful code

Paid Content and Refunds

The whole game is free to play. There are two kinds of paid content; see the pricing page for prices:

• Time capsules: in-game credits called "time crystals", which can be bought repeatedly. Each account's first time-capsule purchase comes with double crystals. Crystals are stored in your account until you claim them into the game, where they fast-forward time.
• Supporter Edition: a one-time purchase whose perks last forever, based on the account records on our server.

Payments are processed by Creem as merchant of record, in US dollars; taxes may be added depending on your location.

Refunds: you may request a refund within 7 days of payment.

• Time capsules: fully refundable if none of that order's crystals have been claimed into the game; not refundable once claimed.
• Supporter Edition: refundable within 7 days; the supporter perks and the bonus crystals that came with it are removed.
• Duplicate charges and payments that never arrived are handled at any time, without the 7-day limit.

To request a refund, email support@cosmos-era.com with the email address you paid with and your order number. Refunds go back to your original payment method via Creem.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our services.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated Terms on this page.
